The Big #6!

6 years ago today, Alice gave me the greatest gift of all, the gift of being a mom.  Andy and I are always amazed at how grown up she has become.  She is confident, sincere, a leader, and an amazing big sister.  She is growing into a beautiful girl, inside and out.  We are so proud of her.  Here's what our 6 year old is up to:

• She loves Paris--and as Fancy Nancy says, "yearns" to go there someday.  Aunt Sheila & Uncle Robert, who travel to Paris each year, sent Alice box full of authentic Paris paraphernalia  (maps, tickets, a pillow, bumper sticker, wallet, etc).  She was thrilled!  Nana & Papa also got her an Eiffel Tower wall decoration for her birthday.  

•  She is a leader & organizer.   Put her with a group of kids, and she is organizing a game.  She understands how to share and will make sacrifices to help out others (not always with her sister, but sometimes :)
  
• She is still very sensitive-- doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.  Has not been in trouble once at school and I fear the first time she gets reprimanded.  Not because we will be upset with her, but because she will be so upset with herself.
  
• She loves, loves, having a baby in the family.  She tells me all the time, "I can't believe how cute he is," and "I can't believe we have him in our family."  Emmet is her first priority in the morning and she always needs to snuggle and hold him before bed.  

• Currently, she is obsessed with the movie Frozen.  Both she and Audrey watch YouTube video clips of the movie All. Day. Long.  She had a Frozen birthday party today and loves her new t-shirt, Frozen Doll, and Frozen PJ's.  

• She loves school.  After two days of winter break, she was ready to go back.
  
• She wants to be a singer or an artist when she grows up.  She loves to draw, paint, and craft.  

For her birthday, we kept it small this year.  She invited her fried Teagan to Build-a-Bear.  Of course, they all picked out the same Bunny.  Alice named her bunny "Princess Snowflake" and Audrey named her's "Elsa" after Frozen.  We came back to the house after for cupcakes.  

Today we had her family birthday.  Grammy, Grandpa Bean, Nana & Papa, Tommie, Brandie, & Amelia, & Carl came over to celebrate.  

She even had Emmet joining the party festivities.  

Nana made her a frozen cake-- designed specifically to Alice's instructions.

Alice let Audrey help her blow out the candles.  

Oh, and look who also celebrated his 2 months today as well!
