Can I Get a "Yee-Haw?"

Alice spotted the rodeo commercial a couple months ago and took great interest. Both her and Audrey have been SO excited about our big Rodeo night.  We made sure to get geared up with cowgirl boots and cowgirl hats!

We met up with the Timme girls and had dinner first at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  I swear Alice would turn into a buttered noodle if I let her (definitely her favorite food@)

Our Big 5 Year Old Girl

Can't believe it's been 5 years since I brought home this little bundle of joy.

Time really does fly.  

I'm so proud of Alice.  She is an amazing, caring, thoughtful, and bright little big girl.  We've been keeping busy with ballet, gymnastics, and preschool -- not sure how throwing full day Kindergarten in the mix next year will pan out, but like everything, we will surely adjust to a new schedule.  

She is doing well with writing her letters - and likes to copy letters to write her own words.  With help, she will use invented spelling to write (helping me create a grocery list, etc).  Alice had her first assignment for preschool the other day relating to the letter "Bb" and "brown."  She had to put a brown/letter "b" item into a brown paper bag and write three clues for her classmates.  I made a big deal out her her first homework assignment, getting a new sharpened pencil ready and clearing off the kitchen table for her work.  She was so excited.  Here are her three clues. . . can you guess the mystery item???  

Time will tell if this excitement for homework will continue once it becomes a daily routine (definitely not ready to add that into my daily routine yet!).   

But for now, we will continue to enjoy our big 5 year old girl!
