Audrey is Baptized

We are so thankful for all the friends and family who were able to join us for Audrey's baptism. She was such a trooper and only cried a little when her head was blessed with holy water. A special thank you to her two godmothers, Cait and Tiffany. We know you will both play an important role in Audrey's life and help her grow spiritually. Now, it's time to add Audrey's name to the family christening gown. She will follow Alice's name and up next will be Marlene's little one due in August.

At 2 1/2 Years Old. . .

At 2 1/2 years old, Alice:

• recognizes that letters makes words and often asks, "What's that say?"
• now understands the concept of pretend
• loves to dress up as a princess
• can draw quite a lovely flower with a stem and leaves
• is always concerned about the whereabouts of Audrey
• can sing along to her favorite nursery rhyme cd
  
• manipulates the bedtime routine wanting "one more book," or "one more kiss"
• loves to spy flags out the window on car trips
• can point out a starbucks and knows her drink order (kids hot chocolate = "chocolate coffee")
• is FEARLESS of water
• is OBSESSED with Yo Gabba Gabba
• asks for hugs and kisses and loves to snuggle on the couch
  
• and, as you can see, has learned to smile without squinting her entire face

We are in awe of this little 2 1/2 year old girl and constantly wonder where she picked up on all her adorable mannerisms. She is so entertaining and sweet and we just love her to pieces!

"Wabalash"

We headed up to Wabash, or as Alice pronounces it, "Wabalash" for a little R & R. Audrey is now sleeping through the night, but it's still nice to have Grammy give Audrey her first bottle so I can sleep in late :).

Grammy and Grandpa Bean surprised Alice with the dinosaur pool. Grandpa even filled it up with water from the hot tub so Alice wouldn't be too cold.



Audrey loved her porch time with Grammy -- She spent lots of time rocking her out here as well.




On Saturday we headed to the park to play!

Yeee Haw!

Alice was SO excited to go to Miss Emily's barn to ride a "pink horse." The first thing she said when she woke up this morning, is "I ride horsey mommy." I had to explain to her of course that real horses weren't pink and she would be riding a brown horse named Tommy. She saddled up, sat up straight, grabbed the reins, and rode on Tommy without any hesitation. Emily explained to her how to make the horse stop and start up by using her feet and pulling the reins. She loved it as you can see from the smile on her face. An even better bonus, Blythe and Reis were there too to join in on the fun! Thanks Emily for taking the time to share your talent with us!

2 Months Old!

Audrey is 2 months old today!

At her visit with Dr. Harper, she is now 11 pounds 14 ounces. She is 75% for weight and 95% for height (following in Alice's footsteps!). She just started smiling and cooing. She's been doing well sleeping (6-7 hours at a time) and has even slept through the night a couple of times (nothing consistent yet-- keeping my fingers crossed it will catch on soon).

We are really enjoying our time with our little girl and can't imagine life without her.

Hapy 4th!

We spent the 4th enjoying our day in Sheridan. First, the local parade then a cookout with family and friends at our home. Alice kept insisting the party was her birthday party -- she loved playing in her little house and baby pool with Blythe, Nora, and baby Will. Didn't find time to take pics of the cookout while trying to host-- so just some pictures of the parade to share from the day!
