Kick off to Summer Break!

With an infant and a toddler, it can be a little difficult (and often stressful) to get everyone out o the house. I've found, as much as I'm not one to stay at home all day, that it's just easier to hang out at home with the girls. So. . . we've brought summer to our backyard. Alice now has a "little house" (a Sheridan garage sale steal!) and and barbie jeep. She's still a little young for the jeep, but we couldn't pass on the opportunity when one of Andy's coworkers was looking to sell. We also have a blow up baby pool where Alice loves to splash around. So, this summer we'll be lots of time at home playing in our backyard and enjoying the weather and our time together :)

1 Month Old

I can't believe Audrey is now one month old! Even though there have been many sleepless nights, the month has really gone fast. This week Audrey really started noticing things around her and especially loves to stare at bright colors and toys. She's started smiling more (mostly in her sleep--not directly at me yet) but it's such an adorable smile. I think she's about 9 1/2 pounds, but we don't go to the doctor for an official weigh in until next month. I know I'll probably jinx myself by mentioning this, but Audrey slept for 7 hours straight last night! I had to go and check on her after 6 hours just to make sure she was still there and sleeping. We absolutely love having our two little girls and continue to count our blessings.

Taking a Break

The girls and I went to Wabash for a few days-- I needed a little extra sleep and hadn't seen my parents in a while. It was wonderful having my mom and dad help entertain Alice while I slept in from my late nights with Audrey. On our way home, we stopped by Marion for a visit with Nana "the Great".
