Family Photos

 We gathered all the Kingsley's for an updated family portrait.  It wasn't easy getting all the kids Audrey to cooperate, but we were able to capture some great photos, thanks to Andy's friend, Nick

Look Who's Growing!

Little Emmet is nearly 2 weeks old! 

 

He bypassed his first check-up as he was already gaining back weight from the initial weight loss before he left the hospital.  We went today for his 2-week physical and he's doing great! 

 

Weight 8lbs 3oz (50% percentile)
Height 21 1/8 cm (75% percentile)
Head 37 cm (50% percentile)

I thought my girls were easy babies, but Emmet has trumped both (fingers crossed!).  He is going 4-5 hour between nursing at night and falling right back to sleep.  I am feeling well (because I'm actually getting sleep--interrupted sleep, but sleep) and recovering well.  Grammy spent the week with us last week which was wonderful having her to entertain Audrey and help with the baby. 


The girls are so in love with their baby brother.  I can't keep Audrey off of him--always laying her head on him for a gentle hug or giving him kisses.  Alice loves to hold him and will sit with him on her lap for extended periods of time, holding his hand and rubbing his head. 

It's crazy to think I'm now a mom of three children!  Love my kiddos so much and love spending hours on end just staring at my handsome little guy!

We welcomed our SON into the world on Tuesday.  Because it was scheduled, we were able to take advantage of a great date for a birthday (11-12-13) -- should be an easy one to remember :)  Overall, probably the easiest c-section of the three.  Had a wonderful anesthesiologist who kept my mind off things while prepping for the birth.  Emmet came out kicking and screaming!  It's hard with a c-section as you are the last person in the room to get to see the baby.

You sit there, arms stretch out, exposed and unable to move on the surgery table, waiting on updates from the crowd.  Everyone kept telling me, "He has great color!" and "Look at all his hair!" The anticipation is hard, but exciting.  The doctors had a hard time getting his weight and length because he was kicking so much!

Once he was settled down and swaddled, Andy brought him over for me to met this adorable, beautiful boy.  He is amazing.

 He was wide-eyed, ready to take in the world!  I spend about 2 hours in the recovery room with my parents, Andy's parents, and the girls.  Andy wore his luck shirt!  This shirt was worn for both births of the girls and the first time we met -- I'd call that lucky!

The girls were so excited about meeting their little brother.  Nana and Papa took them out for pancakes before coming to the hospital.

Alice motherly instinct kicked in, wanting to hold him and kiss him-

Audrey was interested in spurts (of course!)-- The hospital gadgets were pretty exciting as well (especially her "stage curtain")  Hard to believe she is now a big sister too!

He got his first bath, first feeding, and time to meet everyone before heading to our room.

Pumpkins, Costumes, & Lots of FUN!

October is a great month-- lots of preparation and excitement for the big 31st.  One of my students grows large (100 lb!) pumpkins and brought one to campus for me to take home to the girls.  Andy and the girls spent some time last week carving "Nolinda the Scary Witch" with Alice painting the final touches on her jack-o-lantern face.

This week her Kindergarten class went the the Pumpkin Patch.  I was just too pregnant growing my own pumpkin to chaperone so Alice decided to give Papa a call to ask if he'd be willing to chaperone her first field trip.  She was so excited to show off her Papa to her friends and came home after school wanting to write him a special thank you note.  So sweet!


For costumes, Alice stepped out of her comfort zone to be a witch this year (of course she will tell you she's a FRIENDLY, not SCARY witch).  We spent lots of time browsing catalogs and searching online for the perfect costume -- her costume had a light-up skirt and after seeing that, she was sold!

At school, the work-around for costumes was "book character day" so we picked our favorite book character-- is there any character more appropriate for Alice than Fancy Nancy? 

Audrey, first planned costume was a monkey, but also decided to raid our princess dress chest to expand her Halloween wardrobe a bit for each dress up occassion.  She was Cinderella when we went to the Children's Museum,

a Barbie Princess Witch? for her school party,


and a monkey for Noblesville Trick-or-Treating.This year, Halloween was a wash-out with loads of rain, so Noblesville postponed trick-or-treating until the day after.  The Timme clan came over tonight for our first round of trick-or-treating.  Sheridan has trick-or-treating tomorrow so we will head up there for Round #2?

Hey, I'm still pregnant and can justify insane amounts of candy consumption for a few more days, right?
